Summer 2016 Business Events in New York City

This summer, New York City will host a number of exciting business events. If you are looking for networking opportunities or forums to share ideas and innovations, these events are great for meeting potential business partners and investors.

Networking Events

The NYC Real Estate Summer Kickoff Networking Party is designed for real estate professionals and businesses to meet like-minded colleagues in a laid-back and fun environment. The free social event is planned for June 28 at 230 Fifth, a greenery-lined rooftop bar and restaurant with beautiful panoramic views of Midtown Manhattan.

Another networking event planned a week earlier on the of June 23 is the New York Social Summer Bash, a Be Social Change event at the Wix Lounge on 235 West 23rd Street. The evening is an opportunity to mingle with new business connections while kicking off the summer. Be Social Change is the city’s largest social impact community and professional development hub.

The NYC Professional Network is a creative forum for businesses and professionals to meet potential clients, business partners and investors. It also stages events throughout the year, including the New York Entrepreneurs, Start-up and Business Network on August 22. Billed as the largest event of its kind in New York City, the evening of networking brings together tech start-ups and entrepreneurs as well as professionals, freelancers and others from across the city. It is an ideal place for businesses and entrepreneurs to look for leads on co-founders, team members, partners, mentors and coaches. The event is being held at the Hudson Terrac in Hell’s Kitchen. Although it is free to attend, an RSVP is required.

Conferences and Trade Shows

From June 1 to 3, the Social Media Strategies Summit will help companies change the way they do business by sharing information on building loyalty, using social marketing and social data, and identify ideal customers. Speakers from the social media world will share their perspectives on how businesses can best capitalize on social marketing. Participants will learn about relevant social media and technology trends and tools through case studies, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities. This year’s edition is being held at The New Yorker A Wyndham Hotel.

The Incite Group’s Corporate Social Media Summit gives businesses ideas about how to deliver personalized and meaningful experiences to their customers. Returning for its seventh year, the conference is being held on June 20 and 21 at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. More than 350 participants will learn from more than 30 senior corporate leaders and leave with new insights on how to use social data, how to adapt to the evolving social landscape, and how to support efficient strategies for improving customer relationships.

The Affiliate Summit East runs from July 31 until August 2 at the New York Marriott Marquis. The conference and trade show includes numerous networking events and three tradeshow areas packed with more than 5,500 delegates. This massive conference sees the convergence of affiliates, vendors, merchants, technology providers, digital agencies and others. Industry experts also lead educational sessions.

Planned for September 8 and 9, FinovateFall delves into the future of banking and finance services by bringing together innovating companies and industry leaders. It is geared towards anyone who is interested in learning more about trends and innovations in the industry, whether you are a start-up or an established company. The event, which is being staged at the New York Hilton Midtown, attracts a range of financial institutions, fintech companies, and press and industry analysts. In addition to demo sessions, there are networking opportunities each day for delegates to make connections with potential investors and business partners.

On September 10, the New York City Career Fair and Job Fair will be held at the Holiday inn Midtown. For individuals looking for work, the event is an opportunity to meet and interview with Fortune 500 employers. It is also a great forum for employers to find talent. A number of sectors are represented, including sales, retail, financial services, customer service, healthcare, industrial, insurance services, telecommunications, logistics, marketing, and many others. The career and job fair is organized by the Diversity Career Group, a leader in producing sales-based events for executive, industrial, retail and commercial sectors throughout the United States.
